New paper: "Modelling geospatial distributions of the triatomine vectors of Trypanosoma cruzi in Latin America"

New paper, “Modelling geospatial distributions of the triatomine vectors of Trypanosoma cruzi in Latin America” is now published in PLOS NTD.

We use so called target-group background approach to construct background points for presence-only data while adjusting for sampling bias and Generalized Additive Models (GAMs) to estimate the relative presence probability for 30 triatomine species. Uncertainty of the estimates are visualised alongside predictions using bivariate maps:
